New leadership of the foreign investors council in Croatia

Zagreb, March 8, 2018. – Mladen Fogec, CEO of Siemens Croatia and the former president of the Foreign Investors Council in Croatia, was relected as the new President of the Council at the Election Assembly with a mandate until 2020. Mladen Fogec will together with other Board members continue to work at the head of the Foreign Investors Council on the agenda of improving the investment climate in Croatia and strengthening cooperation with state bodies, business associations operating in Croatia and creating closer ties among existing investors and those who are yet to come to the Croatian market.

The Vice-Presidents of the Council that were elected are Zoltán Áldott, President of the Management Board of INA and Viktor Pavlinić, President of the Management Board of Tele2. Along their side the Council elected new members of the Board of Directors; Michael Georg Müller, Chairman of Management Board of Raiffeisenbank Austria, Burak Baykan, Regional Director of Doğuş Group for Croatia and Montenegro, Dejan Ljuština, Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting d.o.o. and Tomislav Šlat, director of 3M for South East Europe.

The work of the Council in the past year was presented by the Secretary-General Igor Zgrabljić who also announced the international conference on foreign direct investment to be held during this year.

At the Assembly the members discussed about their plans for 2018 in which the emphasis will be on the further development of cooperation and active communication with the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the entire Croatian public to improve the investment climate and attract both foreign and domestic investments.
