The President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Zoran Milanović, and the delegation of the Foreign Investors Council in Croatia held a joint meeting on Tuesday, 30 March, 2021, at which the contents of the new edition of the White Book “Competitiveness has no alternative” were presented.

The White Book has been published regularly since 2013 and is the first document of its kind in which members of the Foreign Investors Council in Croatia (FICC) give their views on the current environment for foreign investments and constructive recommendations that encourage positive changes in the Croatian business environment.

The delegation at the meeting with the President of the Republic of Croatia Milanović was led by the President of the Foreign Investors Council in Croatia Mladen Fogec with members of the Board – Tomislav Šlat (Vice President), Viktor Pavlinić (Vice President), Vedrana Jelušić Kašić (member), Zoltán Áldott (member) and Secretary-General Sandro Baričević. Representatives of the Council talked with President Milanović about the current situation of foreign investments in Croatia and the content of the new edition of the White Book, its conclusions and recommendations and how to implement them to improve the business climate related to foreign investment in Croatia.

“The new edition of the White Book emphasizes the importance and necessity of a business climate that encourages decision-making and investment business processes, which directly contributes to competitiveness, accelerates development, stimulates return, stops emigration and attracts people who can contribute capital, productivity and productivity. We are glad that the representatives of the highest institutions of the Republic of Croatia recognized the importance of such a document, as well as that they are open to dialogue on joint work with the aim of improving the business climate and foreign investments in Croatia. The step forward and the beginning of talks on joint work on recommendations would be of universal importance and would affect not only the situation of foreign investors in Croatia, but also the overall investment picture in Croatia.
